[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The Dodge Avenger was revealed in production form at the Detroit Motor Show and it was confirmed that the American designed and built front-driven mid- sized sedan will be the third new Dodge to be sold to be sold in New Zealand after last year's Caliber hatch and the upcoming Nitro 4x4. [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The Avenger, which will arrive in the third quarter of 2007, is no relation to the Hillman of the same name. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]From the front, the brands signature crosshair grille and large, quad headlamps all add to the Avenger's menacing glare, while the side profile shares family traits with the Dodge Charger with muscular rear shoulders, large wheels and a sleek rear spoiler. [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Dodge Avenger rides on a 2765mm wheelbase and 1570mm track, and while its engine line-up and packaging won't be confirmed until closer to launch, it is likely to include a 2.4-litre four a 2.7-litre V6 and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel. [/FONT]
