I bought my son a 2010 Nitro for his first car, the steering seems very tight, not making and whining noises or normal indicators that is low on fluid ect. Anyone else experience this ?
Thanks

I also have a 2010. Been driving it since last December. My steering seems pretty good. My only steering related issue has been a clunking noise when turning. Which was resolved by changing the end links and sway bar bushings.

I don't know off hand, but there should be a dipstick for power steering fluid? Keep in mind that the tiny radiator like thing in the opening under the bumper, is a power steering cooler. Maybe look for damage there?

not a common issue, normally owners say the steering is a bit light,
like you say i would expect a noise if the pump was bad,
as Nitroheat says check fluid level and that power steering cooler, it's in a bad place for stones hitting it plus most people tend to power wash that area and damage all the cooling finns,
check the belt make sure someone did not bypass the power steering with a shorter belt (i doubt it but you never know),
