Nitro Auto gear box issues high revving

Hi,

I am new to the site and have a Diesel Nitro SXT 2007 with auto box. I have an intermittent fault regarding what appears to be some kind of slip from the gear box. Normally on flat ground crusing at 70MPH my rev counter would show 2200 RPM, after drving normally over one hour this creeps up to over 2500. This does not sound much but really affects accelleration as if the Torque convertor is slipping, this then also affects my fuel ecomony. If I pull over wait several minutes then start the journey again this tends to dissappear any ideas???

correct me if I'm worng but even if your out of warranty this kind of stuff will still be covered without any charge.

What does the dealer say about it? Have you checked your trany oil level?
