There is something in the works, it will be released soon. Wait until then. Are there any other symptoms you are experiencing with the operation of your transmission? They have been many complaints of a torque converter shudder, that is described as a a feeling like driving over rumble strips. Or a definite vibration isolated to speeds around 70-80km/h. Are you also experiencing this?

my Nitro did the same thing, along with almost stalling at such a low idle when stopped. They reflashed the computer and it is fine now...for now. Also having an intermittent problem with the power window driver's side, and roof racks coming off. So not sure about the quality of this vehicle..time will tell.

Thanks Nitro Tech on the tranny issue update. This has been going on for so long that I kind of thought they forgot about it.
At around 6000km I started to notice the shudder. The nitro is in the shop today for a oil changed ,surging issue and now the shudder. Its still a great unit and fun to drive.

I don't have the shudder, at least not yet. I have noticed the surging between 35 and 40 since day one that we have had the car. I mention it to the SM :loser1: each time I've gone in for a recall and he just shrugs his shoulders like it really isn't a problem. I will see if the next recall that is still in the works fixes this issue, if not I will address it more assertively.

My R/T-2wd has a surge at 55mph with cruise engaged. When it started surging I downshifted to 4th with the selector and the surging did not stop. I upshifted to 5th then down again--surge still there. It is just like you are going up and down with your foot on the gas, but it is a mild surge.

This may not necessarily been the transmission causing your concern. The transmission problems associated with the 42RLE are caused by the torque converter and there are no shared parts with the NAG1 in the 4.0L R/T. Even though this may be a similar concern the symptoms the 42RLE experiences cannot be applied to the NAG1 for diagnosis.
