turnsmart mirrors

Roper,

I'll let you know, I just ordered a set. Looks like a good solution to the blind spot problem.

all night auto has them for 135.00. i was wondering how much factory mirror they take up.
go to the website link I posted earlier and see the dimensions. I bought a set of cheapo little mirrors like these, actually smaller, but angled like these at a hardware store for $3. They don't have the fancy turn signal LEDs, but they are great for the blindspot issue.

turn signal led's for mirrors

Here is another approach to this, LED's that stick on your regular mirrors.....doesn't help with the blind spot issue but there are like $7.00 US for a set, way cheap.

they came in real fast as I'm only 50km away from the vendor (Brampton, ON). They don't come with any instructions, but I'm assuming that I could run the wires through the door to the area under the dash and route them to either the front or the back and tap into the turn signal wire. It might be easier to do at the taillight than the headlight.

Excellent let me know when you have them wrking.
Would be cool to place one on the glass and one on the front housing of the mirror.

why would you want one there? if someone is in front of your Nitro, they can see the signals by the headlights. what is your reasoning?

I find at night as sight gets poorer , many headlights ( for they are much brighter now) tend to over power the turn signals.
Turn signals on some vehicles are difficult to distinguish.
Maybe its just me.

Huh? Where does it say that?
Says batteries installed. Wonder what type???

As far as where is says that, that one is easy. As to what type?? I am with you on that one DAYLEY. How do you get into them to change the batteries? I didn't see anything in the installation instructions on that one either.

One place it says wireless and solar powered. If they are solar powered, what is the quick charger for?

that's a different set of turn signals for the mirrors than what I bought. Mine are just arrow shaped sets of LED lights with wires coming out. I already have the little mirrors on my Nitro, so I only needed the turn signals. I put the link in my previous post about this. That's why I was confused about the battery comment.

The one's that come with batteries are "solar powered". But anyone who has ever installed solar lighting knows those batteries eventually die. These signals are wireless and seem interesting to me, but since they are adhered to the mirrors with permanent 3M tape, how ARE the batteries replaced? The big drawback to these are the cost. I'm curious to see how Waldorf's turn out, as that might be the way I'd go.
