Im about to install a u connect in my nitro...but i want to play the sound thru the stereo speakers and also mute the radio when a call is recieved, will it do this or can it be modded to do this??

My old nokia CK-1w did this on my old car and it was awesome...I know there is a mute wire on the radio cause the reversing sensor mutes the radio.

My factory installed system does just that - the radio mutes and the call comes thru the front speakers, so I know it can be done...

I believe there are two factory models - one is the factory pre-installed model and another is the generic aftermarket factory. From reading other Dodge forums, it seems that the latter only mutes the radio but nothing else.

Edit: after reading another post, I assume that it is possible to buy the factory pre-installed uconnect after getting the car.
