UConnect question

I have an 07 SLT. When I hit the UConnect button, it says uconnect unavailable. Is there something Im missing? I have the speaker in the mirror and the uconnect buttons. Tried to bluetooth my cell phoe and it said no device found. Any suggestions?? I just bought it last week. Thanks!!

I have all the buttons also but I know I didnt pay extra for it at the I didnt need it now I just dont wanna pay the extra couple of hundred to get it.. my dealer was saying like 2-300 or something when I was looking to buy it
