Can someone post the wiring diagram for the MyGIG/Uconnect? I had mine replaced today because of overheating issues and now the Uconnect/bluetooth connectivity doesn't allow my phone to connect.

They pair just fine, gets the service list but when it comes time to connect, it doesn't.

Not only that, the 'Refurbished' unit they gave me, has a scratch on one of the seek buttons.

Thanks Waldorf, i'd found that earlier but it wasn't much use to me.

I have the MyGig with Uconnect factory installed, but considering I took my vehicle in and it's still not working, I am messing with it. I found 2 bare wires with no shielding taped up to the rest of the harness with electrical tape.

Now, I am a tech at a Dodge dealership, but my workload doesn't consist of warranty work so I don't have too much knowledge on the MyGig's, I was just hoping I could figure out why these two wires I see taped up, are. After the radio was replaced with a refurbished unit, my Bluetooth/Uconnect failed to link with my phone.

I've got the radio out right now, looking for something to compare it to.

I should be a bit more descriptive. I am looking for the wiring diagram to the white harness located behind the unit. There are 3, 2 grey (one wide and one small) and a white wide harness. I just need possibly the color coded version of the diagram for that harness.

The bare wires is normal. They are ground/shield circuits. Also the U-Connect is internal to the RER MyGIG.

From the latest information I have seen here's the deal. There are two versions of the the REN MyGIG. One with Satellite Radio (SDARS) and UConnect and one without SDARS and UConnect.

??? Are they not the same? Did you mean one with U and one without?

I also found this which has good info on the RER and REN units. I just bought the REN with Sirius and now on the hunt to get the oem Uconnect parts. Friend of mine in WA at my old dealership is researching the parts. I think I have the latest part numbers:

5064013AV - Nav Telematics Module 2007, $194.35

4806228AB - Rear view Mirror Inside - w/Auto-Dim, W/Uconnect. $148.35

5089051AB - Wiring Mirror Jumper, $26.28

Wyckoff has a Uconnect package available with all three components but believe it is for the Charger crowd. Sent them an email asking about a Nitro kit.

Will post the answers from both sources. Gotta go the lightning is getting close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Corrected my mistake. Thanks for pointing that out. What works with what and what's required to have UConnect has been a steep learning curve. The training has been almost nothing.:i_rolleyes:

Will see what I can find out on these part numbers and post the results. If I recall correctly, you mentioned the telematics module is located by the rear sub speaker?? Was thinking it was located behind the glove box. I searched behind the glove box tonight and along the A-pillar and did not see any connectors. I'm hoping it plugs into the REN. Will see if I can search for some pictures of the back of the REN unit.

The REN connectors are the same as you see on all the other NTG4 radios. I have a REN in my Nitro.

Since I don't know what plug is what (yet to remove mine), I assume these are all used with any RE* radio??

So I would also assume that the wiring for the RER Uconnect is within the harness, since I see no other connector. Now to see if I have that harness. Would think that the SLT and R/T models have the MyGig harness and would also include the Uconnect wiring?? Most times, the base model will have a different harness, while the mid and top level trim packages have the same harness (such was the case with my RAM). It didn't make sense to have a different harness for each level trim package and adding cost from the supplier for the different models. Cheaper to make one or two and not use the extra connections.

I hope my theory is correct. I will see if the collision book shows a different harness for the trim packages. Will also look for a picture of the REQ unit.

Nice find. I have the pre-NTG4 radio connectors and unfortunately there don't work. Finding the mating connectors usually is the hard part, but creating a custom harness wouldn't be too difficult.

Sent them an email asking about the REN, RER and REQ units and how one could be made for the C1 connector. Being our uconnect harness is not on the 22 pin connectors shown on that site, a special one would have to be made. I also stated that there were many of us Nitro owners wanting this type of harness. Will see what I get back in the reply.

What connectors do you have on yours??

When th RE* radios came out I thought the previous connectors from 2006 and earlier might work. I ordered them in hopes of making a custom harness but, even though they look similar, there are several tabs/notches that didn't line up. It will be interesting to hear their response.
