I just got back from vacation. I got to take the Nitro on a nice trip to Branson and was really impressed with the mileage. The speed limit was 60 and it was cool enough to not use the air. I got 26.5 going there. I was trying to coach as much out as I could but thought this was great considering the area around Branson is extremely hilly.

Once we got to Branson, then the mileage dropped drastically because of all the stop and go traffic but I couldn't complain.

Coming back, I was running the AC and still got nearly 25 mpg. Not too bad for a nice ride!!!!

Glad you had a good trip! I know what you mean by leaving the camera at home! back in 2003 I bought a Honda Element on Monday and Tuesday we left for a 4 day college tour for my daughter and after we had gotten about a 100 miles I realized I had left mine at home  My daughter had a disposable so I took a some with it ( one was of me and and Paul Jr at Orange county Choppers ) then my daughter leaves the camera at a college office a few days later, we called and they found it and were nice enough to mail it to her

If I leave the camera at home, I am in trouble with my wife! If I take the camera and the pictures get out, I am in trouble with America's Most Wanted....either way I end up on the short end!!!! :D

Branson.....the Vegas of the Ozarks!! Glad you had a good trip!

They are trying to encourage tourism so they had a special that if you brought a copy of your "stimulus check" or proof of deposit of this check, then you got to draw out two free tickets for one of the shows there.

The ones we got were to a 50's-60's show. It was pretty good...especially since it was free!!!:chuckle:

Sounds like a fun trip!

Very nice on the mpg.
We were not so lucky. :( On average we got 18-20 mpg, with one 300 mile stretch we got 22 mpg. We went through a few hills here and there but most was cruising at 70 (that is the speed limit) on flat.
