I think there are at least two that I remember that have post-delivery MyGiG installs. search for the MyGiG threads and look in the MyGiG questions sub-forum too, I'm sure you'll find something!Wow...no replies. So, I'm assuming that everybody that has a MyGig, got it with there Nitro's? Nobody bought it after buying their Nitro? Anybody??
Hey Six I also got a my gig from eBay as well, it is plug and play and easy to install, some things to know before you buy. The Nitro has a high speed bus so only certain Mygigs work with it here's a link that could help you out. So you don't end up buying one that wont work in your ride. Also don't forget if you don't have a Sirius and a GPS antenna might want to pick those up so you don't have to install twice. I also recommend the Allgig mod which will activate your blue tooth, hands-free, and lets you watch video on you Gig with out being in park. We have a forum group buy going on for the Allgig, Bluegig, and Freegig stuff, I linked the thread for that too so you can get the info on that. Hope the links help help...If I found one on eBay, is it a plug-n-play thing or would I need some extra work done to it?
you know that floppy rubber thing on the roof?I have a Sirrus radio, but I can't get it over here in Germany, so it's not activated right now. I actually have no idea if I have an antenna for it...where exactly would it be located?
W,you know that floppy rubber thing on the roof?
W,
The only thing on my roof besides the railing system, is the rear antenna. Did I get a Sirrus radio w/o the antenna??
T
Yeah, just found my answer in another thread. The rear antenna on the nitro is all in one for the sirus and the deck unit regular radio, the plugs for both antennas will be behind the stock deck unit. You won't be able to get any of the US sat radio company's here because the satellites for sirus and xm are in geostationary orbit (a big way to say only being over the US) so we lose out over here on the 1 year free service.

I was wondering the same thing. Will I lose my free 1 year subscription because I'm overseas or does it start when I activate it upon my return to the states?Yeah, just found my answer in another thread.
Now, doesn't the "1 year Sirrus" deal start when you "activate" it and not when you buy the Nitro?

That's how I understand it. The dealer will activate it so that it works when you take delivery, if you have the SAT system installed. And you have to activate it under your own account or it will quit a few months after delivery and you have to call Sirius to re-activate it and get your 1-year free. I don't know how it works for European delivered vehicles.I thought I read somewhere that it doesn't start until the owner activates it...can't seem to find it now.
