I am an American and I bought my Nitro ( an American vehicle) because I believe in this country. It bothers me when I read that problems have been encountered with some of of the Nitros. It is unfortunate, but in this day and age, the American auto must be better than the foreign competitor just to stay even.

I have a silver SLT with all the goodies and it is the first car that I ordered and didn't buy off the lot. I waited seven weeks and so far, it was worth it. I'm happy with my car and my Dodge dealership that helped me get my car in time for my anniversary.

I Am Very Happy with My Nitro R/T!

There can be problems with any manufacturer's products. Issues are certainly not limited to American automobiles. I was the general manager of a Toyota dealership for 9 years, and there were issues--generally minor, but a few were significant.

I have owned my Nitro R/T since February 5, and I have had no problems whatever with it. It is my fourth Dodge vehicle, and I have been pleased with all of them.

Welcome to the Nitro forum wburke20. Yes, there have been some issues with many early Nitros, and a few of the recent ones. The recent problems don't necessarily match the early ones. Polls on this forum indicate about 1/3 of owners have had something they have returned to the dealer about. It is important to point out that the remainder have had no problems with their Nitro. I absolutely love my R/T model and have never had a problem worth mentioning. Most of the ones that have had problems with theirs will quickly tell you they like it so much they overlook any problem they have and keep on driving it anyway. Don't look for problems, you will probably never see any.

Hey and welcome wburke20. We now have over 10000 miles on our Nitro. So far the only thing has been the tranny issue. I'm waiting for the final fix until we take it in for the end result. Anyway, you said an American vehicle. When I rotated my tires I notriced the wheels were made in China.....Wonder what else is lurking?????????????

Welcome

Good to have you here! I have had no problems in 3300 mi ,( maybe I am lucky, thats not usually the case ;)) I drive a Toyota Fj at work now and then and the owner has had some issues, none major, just last week after 2 tire balancings (1 they charged for ) they put new tires on 10000mi and instead of a refund for the balancing they gave 4 $10 gas cards :i_rolleyes:
