I too have started windshield wiper problems. They come on but on many occasions they will just stop and not come back on. I have to pull over and after a few minutes after trying resetting the ignition and turning the switch many, many times they will start again. It is intermittent and I brought it to a dodge dealer last week and couldn't or didn't try hard enough to replicate the problem and I was told he can't change parts that aren't broken. I checked the wiring at the motor when problem existed and seemed to have ground and 12v but no control signal. Please help before I die on the interstate during a heavy rain storm!!!

I suggest your dealer do one of two things: Call Chrysler tech support because this is a known issue, or the dealer technician should do a search on TechConnect-Staronline-intermittent wipers.

The answers are there or follow the link I've provided in post above, you'll find the answer to your concern in that article. Hope this helps. :)

Wipers issue

Good Call NitroTech! My wife's 07 Nitro SLT has been to the dealer twice for this issue - First time they couldn't find any issues causing the symptoms, and last week they replaced wiper motor because of a faulty park switch (according to the "totally reliable" (?) computer diagnostics). Last night on her way to work, in the pouring rain, they quit again! Same symptoms as mandys... after a few minutes they can be restarted, sometimes with limited operation options (fast / slow / intermittent). She stopped by dealer on her way home from work, and they will "look at it again" after they dig a little regarding the problem.

I'll pass the info from NitroTech along to them ASAP.

NICE FORUM folks... just found this and will be back regularly!

First mode I done was replace the front wipers to the Bosch ones, there the aero looking ones that come on most newer cars. I would have preffered Valeo Silencio but I dont think they sell them here in USA. Had a set of them on my M3 back in UK and they were dead quiet.
