I've searched the site and my question is.....If I add the headrest monitors to work with the stock 6 pak cd/dvd player, is there a way for me to still listen to the radio if the kids want to watch a dvd in the back seat???? If the answer is wireless, any idea on how to connect it?

yes, but will that let me listen to the radio thru the speakers at the same time as the kids watch a movie in the back seat via wireless headphones? Is the stock 6 pak able to do this config?

I looked in the owners manual.....don't say anything about adding "aftermarket" LCD monitors...hence why I asked on the forum. People here are doing amazing things and have excellent ideas to help.

thanks,

John,
If you purchase headrest monitors have standalone DVD players built into them versus using the stock headunit you will be fine.

If you are trying to play a DVD through your stock headunit its not going to work. There is no dual-zone capability built into the stock headunit. I know that wasn't what you were hoping for but thats the skinny.

So your options are two-fold.

1. Swap out your headunit to a one with dual-zone capability with a built in DVD player.

2. Purchase headrest monitors with DVD players built in. ie.. like these...

I hope this helps.
