WTS: R/T 20" Chrome 20's - Feeler

2262 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  gregoryjj
We purchased a Stone White R/T a few weeks ago and we're thinking about selling the chrome 20" rims off of it and getting something aftermarket. I'm not really sure how much to ask for them? They only have ~800 miles on them! I want to keep the tires...so just the rims would be for sale.

I'll add some pictures soon!

Thanks,

intersted in wheels just send me some info and a price. I was wondering if the tire pressure sensors would come with the wheels or not thanks
Sensors would be needed for whatever wheels that will be installed. Someone would have to buy a new set.
I don't know your exact situation but I went the other way and bought a set of R/T 20's with tires from someone like you so I may be able to help a little. First off if I were going to sell the R/T rims I'd sell the tires with 'em. Makes them a lot safer to ship without damage (if you decide to do this I can tell you the best way to wrap 'em up).
The reason I say sell them together is almost all the aftermarket rims you're going to be looking at are going to be an 8.5" wide rim. The stock tire would be a little shallow on that. Your stock rims are 7.5". A 255/45/20... 265/45/20 or a 275/45/20 tire will fit and look much better than your stock tires on the aftermarket 8.5" to 9" rim.
As far as price... I found the deal of the century "wheels & tires" delivered for $1100. eBay has a new dealer take off set for $1349.99 + $200 shipping = $1549.99.
I'd say $1100 - $1200 the set "wheels & tires" would go quick. The rims alone new are $444 each but with someone having to buy tires you'd probably only get $150 to $175 each for them.
And the others are right... you should have some place pull your TPM sensors out and reuse them on your new wheels. Unless you want to spend the cash for all new ones. I think they're like $35 each... but they could be more.
Hope this helps. I was glad someone like you wanted to part with their stock R'T's. I'm sure youll have no trouble selling them if they're priced right!

off topic but how did you get the stock 20's with the SXT? dealer install? they dont come from the factory like that. also the suspension is tuned for the 20's from factory as well, is yours still the same?
the RT 20" wheels have been on ebay for months now..

It wasn't easy at the time. I was the first one to do it. When I did it you couldn't find a set. Now they're starting to pop up on eBay etc.

I bought the R/T 20's and tires from someone who went custom. The suspension is nothing. The R/T is just a smidge tighter. When you put the R/T wheel set up on a SXT or SLT it works great.

The slight extra firmness of the big wheel & the oh so slightly softer SXT/SLT suspension goes great together.
