Ok so im new here and i havent seen anyone yet with my problem on here. So ive got an 08 SLT with the 3.7 and i noticed when i went to a drive thru or whenever i was up near a curb or a wall i would hear a ticking. honestly it almost sounded like a valve tick. This was when it was new. and since then ive put 19k on it. Yea i get around a bit lol. anyways so now its just gotten worse. So i popped the hood and i dont seem to hear it much coming from the valve train. I more or less hear it when im under the truck. It almost sounds as if its in the oil pan. But ive had no issues with performance or gas mileage or anything. And now that i pay more attention to it i realize that when i hit the gas it sounds like im getting valve slap.. WTF.. Is this a common issue??? Has anyone else ever noticed this noise. Its really getting irritating because if it is a serious issue i cannot aFFORD TO BE WITHOUT A CAR. MY LOCAL DODGE DEALer is always packed full in the service dept. Sorry about the caps.. What is it.. anyone know.. Please help!!
