So my sun visors were really dirty and stained, and I really wasn't digging the tan fabric and all that airbag "safety" mumble, so I decided to give it a shot and redo them. I had done this to the last car I had, however this turned out to be a bit more difficult. I was use to visors that actually pop open, however the ones on the Nitro don't pop open. I ended up breaking the first one open, and just finally ripping the old fabric off.
Once this was done, I bought some vinyl fabric in my cars colors, red and black of course, and then passed the project on to someone with a little more skill than I have. So I took it all to my mom, told her what I'd love to see done, and this is what she did. I decided to also get rid of the tan mounting pieces, so I painted them all black, and while I was at it, I painted the dome light cover.
Unfortunately, I now have to buy a replacement clip for the passenger side, as when I went to clip the visor into it, it broke. But I guess those get used quite a bit, so it's understandable. A few things I'm thinking of modifying on these covers, but they look pretty fantastic. My mom made them as a slip cover since it's almost impossible to get the fabric tucked in, since these don't pop open.
