Serpentine belt broke 2008 slt 3.7

Which TSB? Unless you are in warranty TSBs are not free.

It's not hard to do. The SM recommends you remove the overflow antifreeze tank. But you may be able to work around it.
Disconnect the Neg (-) battery cable and isolate it.
Insert a suitable square drive ratchet into the square hole on belt tensioner arm.
Rotate accessory drive belt tensioner (6) until it contacts its stop. Install new belt and slowly release the drive belt tensioner.
 
It can happen... But is unusual to hear nothing.

The water pump is a pain to do. You will have to burp the air out several times before you get it all out. Keep a close eye on your temp after the install as it will more then likely vapor lock on you until you get the air out of the system.

You do need to use a specific antifreeze with the Nitro, But I have found it at my local auto parts store. It is called HOAT (Hybrid Organic AdditiveTechnology).
